Candyce Golis is a self-taught photographer whose work has appeared at various galleries in Westchester County, NY.  In 2012-2013 the Institute for Public Knowledge at New York University hosted a solo exhibition of her urban images portfolio, Return to Sender. Her photographs are permanently installed in the Sociology Department and in the Department of Social and Cultural Analysis at NYU as well as in private collections along the East Coast.  In addition to her ongoing urban images project Candyce continues the New Jersey shore.  Many of her photographs are inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi -- the beauty of and emotions evoked by impermanence, imperfection, and incompleteness.  She lives in Larchmont, NY.
